Trash Pick-Up Day
Delmont Visionary Committee is hosting a trash pick-up day April 24, 2021 .
9:00 am- noon. Meet at the Parklet at 9:00 to get your supplies and instructions.
Delmont Borough Clean-Up Day
Clean-up day for Delmont residents will be the weekend of April 24th. Three dumpsters will be place at the Delmont Public Works Building at 30 Bierer Street to allow residents the opportunity for a Spring clean-up of acceptable items. The dumpsters will be available during daylight hours on April 23-25th. You may be asked to provide proof of residency at the collection site. Please do not overfill the dumpsters or leave trash outside of them. Any early pick-up service will be offered to senior citizens (62 and over) within the Borough to those that cannot physically participate. Call the Borough Garage at 724 468-8500 to schedule a pick-up by April 22nd.
Acceptable items include: furniture, appliances (except those containing Freon), regular household trash, building materials, and dry paint.
Unacceptable items include: car parts, tires, TVs/electronics, concrete/block/brick, liquids, and hazardous chemicals.
Grand Opening of the New Delmont Public Library

Denni Grassel, Delmont Library Director, accepts a check for $7, 798.97 from Eliana Bruno, 8, of the Monticello neighborhood. Instead of their annual Christmas party, the neighbors held a Monticello Lights drive around display the second week in December. Proceeds were split between the Delmont Library and WTAE’s Project Bundle Up. Read more about the Monticello Lights here.
Recurring Summer Events
The Delmont Borough Council holds its monthly meetings on the second Tuesday of the month in the new Delmont Library, located across from the Borough Building at 77 Greensburg Street. Please come and see how your local government is working for you. If you are uncomfortable attending in person, please contact the Borough Office to see what options are available.
- Knotty Knitters: Thursdays from 6-8pm, Delmont Library
- Socrates Café: Third Monday of the month, Delmont Library
- Delmont Area Writers Group (DAWGS): first Wednesday of the month, 10am, Delmont Presbyterian Church
